The Paraná Civil Police (PCPR) preventively arrested a 28-year-old man for committing the crime of attempted qualified homicide for futile reasons. The police action took place on Monday morning (29) in the Jardim Arapongas neighborhood, in Castro.

According to Delegate Marcondes Ribeiro, on 04/08/2024, the victim, aged 22, was admitted to the city’s UPA injured by gunshots. Immediately, after the police team received the Police Report, investigations began to determine who was responsible for the crime. According to investigations, what motivated the author to attempt the victim’s life would be the fact that the victim was having a relationship with the ex-wife of the person responsible for the shooting. Furthermore, the author had already been arrested previously, for failing to comply with an urgent protective measure against his ex-wife. An analysis of security cameras carried out in the vicinity of the events revealed that the victim was on his way to work when he was surprised by the perpetrator, who had already premeditated the ambush against the victim.

During the execution of the arrest warrant and home search and seizure, the firearm used in the crime was found, a 38 caliber revolver, and several intact ammunition, therefore, the arrest report was drawn up in the act for the crime of illegal possession of a weapon. of fire.

Finally, the individual was taken to the Castro Public Prison, where he remains in custody.
