According to delegate Paulo Cristiano, the suspect was identified and taken to give a statement. All vehicles involved underwent criminal examination. The reports have not yet been completed.
“The police indicted the person who was driving the third vehicle and requested the Court to apply precautionary measures, notably the suspension of the right to drive,” he said.
The accident occurred around 11pm, when two vehicles collided head-on, caused by the third. The dynamics of the accident were not reported by the police.
Six people were in the same vehicle, two of whom died at the scene and the other four were seriously injured, including the driver, and were taken to the Sergipe Emergency Hospital. The other two drivers left the scene.
- Patrícia dos Santos Silva, 33, her son, 12, and a 20-year-old girl, identified as Milena de Andrade Gonçalves, died at the scene of the accident.
- Two days later, the driver of the vehicle, José Silvanio Santana Santos, aged 24, died in Huse.
- On April 23, Patrícia’s second son, aged 5, died in the unit.
- Patrícia’s daughter, aged 11, remains hospitalized at Huse.
