The Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Maurícia Calombo Ringote Allen, stated, in New York, that Angola has achieved, in recent years, significant advances in the social field. And truth. Take an example: in places where a large part of the 20 million poor Angolans are supplied free of charge, there is a greater diversification of food.

Dalva Ringote Allen highlighted the areas of education (only five million children are outside the education system), female health, young people’s schooling, combating domestic violence, gender balance and combating corruption.

The minister was speaking at the 57th United Nations Session on Population and Development and stressed that this fact demonstrates the country’s commitment (for 49 years in the blood-stained hands, nepotism and kleptocracy of the MPLA) with crucial issues related to population, development and social progress.

A statement states that, in the Education sector, the country has made notable progress, with an increase in the enrollment rate in Primary Education to 76% in 2022. As for the millions of children outside the education system… total silence from the slave government.

Regarding the Health sector, Dalva Ringote Allen highlighted that the indicators reveal a positive evolution, with a population coverage rate of 70% in 2022, with infant mortality reducing by 65.3% per thousand live births in 2022, to 55.8%, in 2023. There is also absolute silence regarding the fact that government officials go to hospitals in Portugal or Spain, among others, to treat a bitacaia.

According to the Minister of State, the vaccination coverage rate in children under 1 year old with PENTA went from 40% in 2017 to 61% in 2022. Meanwhile, malaria continues to be the main cause of death.

The Minister of State informed that the protection of social groups in vulnerable situations and the fight against poverty assume particular importance at the level of the Executive’s policies, highlighting that, within the scope of the National Development Plan (PDN) 2018-2022, the monetary transfer program – “Kwenda”, which currently benefits more than 1 million households in rural areas, the majority headed by women, and is expected to expand to another million.

The Minister of State said that the project aims to empower communities and families, who in many regions of the country face prolonged cycles of drought, as a result of climate change, the mitigation of which is being implemented in the Program to Combat the Effects of Drought in the Southern Region of the country, which allowed, among several ongoing actions, the construction of the CAFU canal (which, however, collapsed), in 2022, in the province of Cunene, with benefits for thousands of people and animals.

The Minister of State for the Social Area announced that, alongside the sectors of Education, Health and maternal and child protection, Angola has also achieved significant progress in the field of access to basic water and sanitation services, energy and decent housing. , highlighting that, by the year 2022, 72% of households had access to drinking water for consumption and the electrification rate reached 44%.

Dalva Ringote Allen explained that within the framework of the National Development Plan 2023-2027, it is expected to reach around 50% of the population, associating this target with the country’s installed energy production capacity of around 6.2 Gigawatts, with the goal of reaching more than 8 Gigawatts, after the completion of the construction of the Caculo Cabaça dam and more photovoltaic plants, which are part of the national energy matrix, with around 310 Megawatts.

The minister reaffirmed that the political commitments made since the 3rd International Conference on Population and Development constitute the basis of “our global commitment, in alignment with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union Agenda, which establish a common vision, for a more prosperous and sustainable world, for the benefit of current and future generations”.

The minister reaffirmed the country’s international and continental commitments, in the context of population and development, in accordance with the visions, strategies, objectives and goals set out in its main governance instruments, Long Term 2050 and the National Development Plan 2023-2027 , in alignment with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union Agenda 2063, aiming at the permanent valorization of human capital and the promotion of a prosperous and diversified economy, an inclusive, fair society with equal opportunities, without leaving anyone back.

For three days, the 57th Session of the United Nations Commission on Population and Development will assess the status of implementation of the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and its contribution to the monitoring and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development during the decade of action.

A year ago, Dalva Maurícia Calombo Ringote Allen, pointed out, in Moçâmedes, peace as an immeasurable value, which unites Angolans on a path of common challenges, in all dimensions of the young homeland, traditions, values, diversity and of the family. Was this text written in verse? Fernando Pessoa said that «the poet is a pretender. He pretends so completely that he even pretends that the pain he actually feels is pain”. Will this be the case?

Speaking at the central event commemorating the 21st anniversary of Peace and National Reconciliation Day, Dalva Ringote said that the advent of peace allowed for the development of communities, solidarity and the incessant search for the best public policies for Angolans.

The minister considered Angola to be a country of peace, of which all Angolans are proud and constitutes a beacon of hope for countries involved in conflicts on the continent.

“Angola is, today, a country of mediation and peaceful resolution of conflicts, because we are lovers of peace and stability of the people, through dialogue”, he reinforced. Could Dalva Ringonte be quoting a poem by the murderer who is her national hero, named Agostinho Neto?

As Dalva Ringote said, Angola firmly and clearly condemns war and any other forms of destabilization of the African continent and is committed to consolidating its democratic institutions, developing and diversifying its economy, with a view to progress, the good -being of populations and the increasingly affirmation of their identity and values within the framework of nations and the world.

For Dalva Ringote, no country can live in peace and security when conflicts persist on its borders that can easily spread and involve its own territory. On the contrary, it is assumed, it can live in peace and security with 20 million poor people within its borders, even though it has thousands of children who are born hungry, born hungry and die shortly after… hungry.

“For this reason, the consolidation of peace in Angola also involves ending conflicts in neighboring territories, at regional and continental level. It is, in this sense, that our country firmly and clearly condemns war and any other forms of destabilization of the African continent,” he stated.

According to the minister, the tradition of peace makes Angola a permanent host of the Pan-African forum for the culture of peace, bringing together different actors from government, civil society, the scientific, artistic and sports community, as well as the private sector and international organizations to a permanent dialogue on the promotion of peace, conflict resolution and prevention of violence, encouraging the values of tolerance, solidarity, diversity, cultural exchange and human rights, contributing to a peaceful and prosperous Africa.

The ruler also stated in her long epic poem (“poem whose subject is great actions or events”) that full and lasting peace must be inexhaustible, counting on the participation of all social partners in the State, traditional authorities, in promoting of peace, the defense of democratic institutions and respect for authorities within communities.

“Today, we can celebrate how far we have come, but we must remember that there is still a long way to go. Peace, democracy and reconciliation, in an interconnected way, constitute a continuous process, which requires dedication and commitment from everyone,” he said.

Of all? Have we understood correctly? Even those who every day look for something to deceive their stomachs, resorting to the huge food baskets created by the MPLA and what they call… trash cans?

Dalva Ringote also pointed to democracy (he did not specify whether he was referring to democracy in which the People exercise sovereignty) as a fundamental value that must be expanded and deepened, respecting institutions, principles, freedoms and guarantees, defending the transparency of public affairs, justice and social equity. The speaker did not clarify which country she was referring to, although it was clear that it was not Angola.

The governor highlighted solidarity and cohesion as fundamental principles to strengthen the Nation and the full reach of democratic, economic and social achievements. Solidarity in which, from the point of view of statistical averages, Angola is doing well. Just see that if Dalva Ringote has four meals a day and Maria Zungueira none, on average each one was entitled to two meals…

In relation to social concerns, he clarified that the Executive has priority programs and projects, such as the construction of dams, to retain water to combat drought and watering livestock, strengthening social protection “Kwenda”, snack education, promotion of employability, expansion of water supply in urban areas, municipal and rural areas, improvement of maternal and child health and nutrition.

“In reinforcing the growth and consolidation of the economy, the Executive’s priorities are the continued defense of family consumption and their income, the diversification of the economy through stimulating private investment and company liquidity, as well as the promotion of public investment to accelerate growth and the recovery of jobs”, concluded the poet minister.

Dedicated to Dalva Ringote, we quote a local poet (Leaf 8) saying: «There is no flower that sings / all the pain I feel / there is no talking puppet / that says I lie».
