Diones Coelho da Silva, the driver who ran over actor Kayky Brito, once again asked for forgiveness for the accident on Monday night (29/4), following a new video released by the artist. In the publication, he comments on his recovery from surgery after eight months.
“I imagine that a lot of people must be asking: ‘Hey, Kayky, he’s gone, is everything okay?’, I’m fine, thank God, I’m recovering, physically, mentally. For example, now I’m in the act of cycling, I’m cycling . […] I have two huge screws in my hip, but they don’t hurt. What hurts is when I put my hand on the handlebars, because of the scars, I think I got 50 stitches […] I’m slowly recovering, I’m coming back, cycling is something I really enjoy and I feel really good”, reported Kayky.
The driver, in turn, made another publication citing the actor’s recovery and asking for forgiveness for having caused the tense accident last year. “I want to publicly ask for your forgiveness, Kayky Brito. I saw your last video and it left me with joy to see you ‘well’ and, at the same time, sadness. Even though it’s not my fault, and you never blamed me, but it’s a feeling of that I caused something to someone! I publicly ask for your forgiveness”, wrote Diones, visibly moved by Stefany Brito’s brother’s post.
“This video really affected my mind, my psychology, knowing that you changed the course of someone’s life. So, I want to publicly ask for your forgiveness. I wish you to recover, to return to the full form you had and that None of this stops you from being the wonderful person you always were. […] And once again, man, once again: I want to ask you for forgiveness. It’s only those who passed by who know. Only I can say what I’m feeling in my heart when I see this video and know that, even without meaning to, I caused this to someone. It made me very sad. Forgive me, okay? Big hug”, added Diones.
Kayky Brito accident
Kayky Brito suffered an accident in the early hours of September 2, 2023, when he was drinking with presenter Bruno de Luca at a kiosk in Barra da Tijuca (RJ). He decided to cross the street without looking to the side and ended up being run over by app driver Diones Coelho da Silva.
The actor suffered head trauma and multiple fractures throughout his body, undergoing surgery on his right arm and to fix his pelvis. The driver confirmed that he was sober and within the avenue’s speed limit.
