The five victims of the accident that happened last Sunday (28) on BR-116, in Papanduva, Planalto Norte of Santa Catarina. Marivone Horthcopf Felix, Hevelyne Horthcopf Almeida, Adão Izequel Barros and Elenita Pellin were in a car with Videira license plates. The fifth victim, Jaison Júnior Alves, was in another vehicle, from São Bento do Sul.

The crash involved three vehicles at Km 63 of the highway. In addition to the four fatal victims of the Onix car, a 2-year-old baby was also in the car, was rescued and taken to hospital in serious condition.

The vehicle was driven by Elenita Pellin, 56 years old, who did not resist and died at the scene of the crash. Marivone Horthcopf Felix, 37, and Adão Izequel Barros, 48, were rescued and taken to the hospital, however, they died in the health units.
Hevelyne Horthcopf Almeida was also taken to the hospital and did not survive. She was celebrating her 16th birthday on the same day she suffered the accident.
They were all residents of Videira, in the west of Santa Catarina, the city where the bodies will be laid to rest this Tuesday (30).
The fifth victim was in a Palio with São Bento do Sul license plates. Jaison Júnior Alves, 23 years old, was alone in the vehicle, succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene of the accident. His body was taken to Monte Castelo, a municipality in Planalto Norte, where he will be laid to rest.

The incident was attended to by the Military Fire Department, Federal Highway Police (PRF) and Arteris. In total, three vehicles were involved in the crash. Two people, who were in the same car, were not injured. The causes of the accident were not disclosed, the PRF only reported that it was a head-on collision.
