According to the process, the criminal struck the victim four times in the chest and back. The murder took place inside Roseli’s house, on Rua 7 de Setembro, on Caminho do Anum. After killing her, the man took gun to police officer’s house and fled to the neighboring city of Vitor Meireles, where he was arrested hours later in the act.

The criminal was convicted of feminicide, with the aggravating factors of cruel means, a resource that made the victim’s defense difficult and a futile motive. The motivation for the murder was jealousy, as the man confessed at the time to police chief Luis Ricardo. The couple was dating for nine months when he attacked the woman.

The court ordered that the convicted person also pay R$150,000 in compensation to Roseli’s family.
