FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas baseball will try to reignite a home winning streak with a two-game midweek series against Missouri State beginning Tuesday.
The No. 2 Razorbacks (37-7) are coming off a series win over Florida, but the Gators took the final game, ending a run of 27 straight wins inside Baum-Walker Stadium The winning run tied a program record for most consecutive wins , last matched from 1984-85.
The Bears (18-24) are having a rare down year in head coach Keith Guttin’s 42nd and final season at the school. Missouri State is coming off a series loss to the UIC and is 3-6 in midweek games this year.

By contrast, the Razorbacks are a perfect 10-0 in midweek games this season, and this week’s series represents Arkansas’ final non-conference games before the NCAA Tournament.
Gage Wood (2-1, 2.45 ERA) will be the starting pitcher for Arkansas Tuesday night, and he will be going up against Missouri State’s Brendan Beaver (2-2, 8.67). Neither team has announced a starting pitcher for Wednesday.
