The 40-year-old Brazilian crashed into a metal fence on Paseo del Prado, in Madrid. In the vehicle was another man, a friend of the woman, who tried to deceive the Municipal Police, according to the Spanish newspaper “El Mundo”.
After the accident, the man tried to convince authorities that he was the driver. However, thanks to images from surveillance cameras, the Municipal Police discovered that it was a lie and are now investigating the woman for a road traffic offence, after she reported a result between 0.50 and 0.51 mg/l of alcohol in her blood.
The Portuguese striker’s Ferrari Portofino, which was not inside the car at the time of the accident, is valued at between 215 thousand euros and 250 thousand euros. According to the Spanish newspaper, the front bumper was completely detached and the car’s bonnet suffered multiple deformations and dents.
The vehicle was taken to the municipal vehicle park and the driver and her friend will have to appear in court in May.
