Act in Piraquara demands justice for Willian’s murder

-

This Friday (3), the community of Piraquara will come together in an event in memory and protest over the death of Willian Davidson, killed in an episode of police violence three years ago. The event takes place at 7pm, with a gathering at the Radikal Moto Peças Primavera store, in Jardim Primavera.

“My son was executed cowardly, without confrontation with the police and even after he had already surrendered. We chose this time for the act because it was when he was being tortured by the police and losing his life”, says the young man’s mother, who prefers not to identify herself due to the threats she has been suffering.

Despite the years that have passed since the murder, the police officers involved remain unpunished, solely based on public faith and the maintenance of the military’s discourse. The act appears to demand concrete actions by the competent authorities and proclaim justice for Willian Davidson and so many other young people who are cowardly murdered by the Military Police.

The Coletivo Filhos Roubados, Mães Decimados (FRMD), which helps organize this Friday’s event, holds demonstrations every second Saturday of the month on the corners of XV de Novembro and Monsenhor Celso streets, seeking justice for the boys murdered by the police in Curitiba and the Metropolitan Region. This month, the meeting will be on May 11th.
