It’s almost, almost! Digi is very close to arriving in our country and there is proof of that!
If you are a regular reader of our website, then you will be ‘bald’ to know that the long-awaited operator Digi arrives in our country in the near future. We are talking about a player which promises to revolutionize the telecommunications market in Portugal. The low prices practiced in other markets should be applied in our country, more than enough reason to whet the appetite of many users dissatisfied with their current plans.
At the beginning of April, we found out – according to the company’s official source to Jornal de Negócios – that the operator is “carrying out tests, depending on the results and implementation of the technology“. This means that, hardly before Junewe will find out about Digi’s first offers.
Still, for those who have been waiting for several years, one more month won’t make a big difference. The good news is that ANACOM gave the company the maximum period to January 2025 to make the first offers. DIGI ALREADY HAS MORE THAN THREE THOUSAND ANTENNAS

“In a project that began in September 2022 with recording the location of the first DIGI Portugal websites in collaboration with Alexandre Moleiro, a Telegram Messenger channel was created with the name CellMapper Portugal at the address where photos and locations of the Digi Portugal websites that are found by enthusiasts and curious people“, adds Ricardo José Saraiva.
THE PRICES
A SIM card with 10GB of mobile data and unlimited calls and 500 Mbps Internet costs 20 euros monthly. If you only want to have Internet, it is also possible. Thus, 500Mbps costs 15 euros per month; 1Gbps costs 20 euros per month and 10Gbps costs 25 euros. Additionally, there are plan options with 10 GB of mobile data and unlimited calls from seven euros per monthas well as a plan with 100 GB of mobile data for 20 euros per month.
