The rugby league world is holding its collective breath after luckless star Ryan Papenhuyzen limped off with an ankle injury in Melbourne’s clash against the Gold Coast Titans.
The Storm led the Titans 20-18 after 50 minutes, with Papenhuyzen leaving the game with a couple of minutes remaining in the first half.
Papenhuyzen stood up limping and clutching at his ankle after a tackle on AJ Brimson to force a drop out.

He came straight off and was in obvious pain when trying to play on it.
“This is not a good sign,” James Graham said on Fox League.
“He will go for scans tomorrow but the Storm suspects it is a high ankle sprain,” Niko Pajarillo reported at the start of the second half.
In just his second NRL game, Sua Fa’alogo has switched from the wing to fullback.
Earlier, Fa’alogo showed why he is highly regarded, with a brilliant solo try that left Titans defenders clutching at air.

David and Goliath will lock horns at Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday afternoon when the Gold Coast Titans host the Melbourne Storm for their Round 9 clash.
The Titans celebrated their first win of the season last week – a three-point victory over the Warriors in New Zealand – but remain 16th on the NRL ladder.
Meanwhile, the Storm, who have not lost a game since March, will climb to top spot on the standings – at least temporarily – if they topple the Titans this weekend.
Kick-off is scheduled for 5.30pm AEST.
