To seek a place in the final, the Brazilians will face the duo formed by Canadian Lap Kern and Englishman Larry Pong. They started well and opened 1-0, making it 21-12 in the first half. However, they then suffered a draw, with their rivals winning 17-21. Despite this, they recovered in the final set and won again, 21-12.

Number 2 seeds in the doubles bracket, Izak and Matheus just came to know what it’s like to lose a set in this Saturday’s match. Previously, the Brazilian duo had defeated the Mexicans Eliasib Chapa and Alfonso Salas, and then the Guatemalans Christopher Marinez and Jonathan Solis, without losing any partials.

In the final of the Mexico Badminton Challenge, Izak Batalha and Matheus Voigt face the partnership of the Japanese Siya Inoue and Haruki Kawabe. They form the fourth best ranked duo in the tournament. The match should start around 3pm (Brasília time).
