Brazil is fighting for the top spot on the podium at the Mexico Badminton Challenge. This Saturday (4) Izak Batalha and Matheus Voigt reached the doubles final of the tournament. The place in this decision was achieved after the victory over the partnership between England and Canada.

To qualify for the final, the Brazilians will face the duo formed by Canadian Lap Kern and Englishman Larry Pong. They started well, taking a 1-0 lead and leading 21-12 at half-time. However, they tied and their opponents won 17-21, however, they recovered in the final set to win again 21-12.
Second placed in the doubles bracket, Izak and Matheus just discovered what it’s like to lose a set in this Saturday’s match. Previously, the Brazilian duo defeated Mexicans Eliosib Chapa and Alfonso Salas and then Guatemalans Christopher Marinez and Jonathan Solis without losses.
In the finals of the Badminton Mexico Challenge, Izak Batalha and Mathews Voigt face the Japanese partnership of Shiya Inoue and Haruki Kawabe. They form the fourth best pair of the tournament. The match should start around 3pm (Brasília time).
