Azul Linhas Aéreas will begin flights today with its largest capacity plane, and will transport more passengers than ever before.

The Brazilian company returned its Airbus A350XWB jets, which carried up to 334 passengers, and later obtained A330-900neo jets previously used by low-cost AirAsiaX, from Malaysia.

The first of these planes arrived in Brazil last month, with the registration PR-ANC, with an all-white exterior, but with the interior still from the Malaysian company, and so it will take flight AD-8706 from Campinas to Orlando, Florida, which leaves at 10:25 am this Sunday, May 5th.

People close to the company’s operations reported to AEROIN that the occupancy of tomorrow’s flight is 98%, considering the capacity of 393 people, resulting in 385 passengers on the flight.

The record is due to the A330-900neo that came from Asia having a much denser configuration than the company’s other A330neo and the old A350. In this arrangement, with more seats, no onboard entertainment, and a leaner business class, the jet will carry more people than any other Azul flight.
