Mercedes-Benz do Brasil launched the new 100% electric Mercedes-Benz EQA and EQB on the national market with changes in design and mechanical and technology improvements.
The new EQA and EQB are now available across the brand’s entire dealer network with suggested prices for the EQA 250 from R$ 399,900.00 and for the EQB 350 4MATIC from R$449,900.00.
The Mercedes-Benz EQA is a compact SUV, characterized by the new front grille with chrome star and front and rear light strip.
The Mercedes-Benz EQB combines emission-free driving with a variable space concept, with space for up to seven occupants.
The main design update is seen with the new front grille with the star pattern on a black background – present in other electric models of the brand.
A light strip connects the daytime running lights to the headlights, while a new bumper emphasizes the models’ frontal width. The designers also updated the interior of the taillights.
Interior innovations include a multifunctional leather steering wheel with touch-sensitive control keys, as well as interior trim with the brand’s star pattern on the console and doors.
Both electric cars are equipped with the AMG Sports Package. The AMG front bumper with air intakes and the AMG rear bumper with diffuser design emphasize the dynamic driving potential. 19-inch ten-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels and body-coloured wheel arch liners complete the design.
Launched at the end of 2022, the models now receive measures that seek better aerodynamics and tires optimized for rolling resistance. The new range-maximizing function is useful in everyday use: energy consumers such as the display or air conditioning can be turned off or their functionality limited in favor of more range.
The EQA 250 continues with the current powertrain, with a front engine (PSM) that generates 190 hp and a range of up to 321 km (INMETRO method). While the new EQB 350 4MATIC is now offered in a 4×4 version, with two engines (front ASM and rear PSM) that generate 292 hp and a range of up to 272 km (INMETRO method).
The lithium-ion battery of both versions, which is located in the lower part of the vehicle, has a capacity of 66.5 kWh.
The system has a charging capacity of 11 KWh on an alternating current (AC) charger and up to 100 kWh on a direct current (DC) fast charger.
Mercedes-Benz issues a certificate for its high-voltage batteries, thus guaranteeing greater safety for customers: 8 years or 160,000 km with a defined residual capacity.
Equipment
The 10.25” high-definition central display now features an updated generation of MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience).
Users can customize the appearance of displays with three display styles (subtle, sporty, classic) and three modes (navigation, assistance, service). MBUX also introduces new features when the model is loading.
Driving assistance systems with improved sensor technology include a new multi-purpose mono camera and a new rear-view camera.
The Driving Assistance Package contains improved functions such as Active Lane Keeping Assistant which works more comfortably with steering intervention instead of ESP.
3-year Energy and Maintenance Package
Like the other 100% electric Mercedes-Benz models, the new EQA and EQB include a wallbox charger and pre-installation as standard. In addition to this package, the cars come with three years of preventive maintenance already included and a three-year factory warranty.
