Request took place in front of passengers
A Polish pilot asked his girlfriend, a flight attendant, to marry him during a flight from Warsaw to Krakow, Poland, and she accepted.
The happy couple’s boss, LOT Polish Airlines, published a video on its Facebook page, showing the moment when Captain Konrad Hanc, with a bouquet of flowers in his hand, asked the question.
“There is a very special person on the flight today and I hope he is not expecting anything. Ladies and gentlemen, about a year and a half ago, in this job, I met the most wonderful person who completely changed my life. You are very important to me. You are my biggest dream come true. That’s why I have to ask you a favor, baby. Will you marry me?” Hanc said in front of the passengers.
The future Hanc lady, Paula, is then seen running down the plane aisle to hug her future husband.
“I don’t know if this is the right hand for this,” she said as her fiancé placed the ring on her finger in front of the delighted passengers.
The video received more than a thousand comments on Facebook.
“Congratulations! I wish you many years of happiness and love,” wrote Sławek Justyniarski.
Monica Zielinski added: “Congratulations to you both! I wish you a lifetime of beautiful memories and travels.”
The couple hopes their relationship will be as long-lasting as Ilona Zahn and Ian Duncan’s 50-year romance.
It all started when Zahn was a flight attendant and Duncan was a pilot on a Pan American World Airways flight from Rome to Tehran in 1970 and lasted until Duncan’s death at age 86, in 2021.
