SYL’s luxury gift for wedding invitations with funding from the Ministry of Agriculture includes gold brooches and rings

Jakarta – Former Head of the Domestic Department, Head of the General Office and Procurement of the Ministry of Agriculture, Raden Kiki Mulyani, revealed that Syahrul Yasin Limpo, alias SYL, also gave a luxurious wedding gift. Gifts range from brooches to gold rings.

Kiki was presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of KPK as one of the witnesses in the corruption case in the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture during the trial in the Corruption Trial at the Central Jakarta Court, Monday, May 6, 2024.

During the hearing, Kiki explained that she initially received a question from presiding judge Rianto Adam Ponto. The judge asked what SYL asked the witness to do.

– What else have you tried? asked the judge at the Central Jakarta District Court corruption court.

“Ask for the brooch, Your Highness,” replied Kiki.

Qazi also emphasized on purchasing items in the form of brooches. Kiki explained that the purchase is given if you only have one wedding invitation.

Kiki also said that a ring was also purchased from SYL as a gift. But these things, Kiki said, were not included in the Indonesian Agriculture Ministry’s budget.

“Wedding invitations are personal. Do you answer? Is there a budget?” – asked the judge.

“There is no budget for giving rings or brooches,” Kiki said.

This was different from SYL’s flower bouquet offering. Kiki explained that the supply of bouquets was actually budgeted for by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture. Giving souvenirs is not included in the budget.

Kiki also commented that if there was an invitation to SYL and they only gave IDR 500 thousand, they could still try to fit it into the budget. He also explained that any SYL expenses that were not included in the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture budget would be immediately claimed in cash through his former assistant, Panji Hartanto.

Afterwards, the witness also said that the money used by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture to buy rings, earrings and brooches was normally purchased by SYL in the Blok M area in South Jakarta.

“Have you decided if it’s a ring, bracelet or earrings or what?” – asked the judge

“Yes, it was determined, Your Highness,” said Kiki.

Kiki also explained that SYL typically purchases these items in the 10-15 gram range.

“How much is 10 to 15 grams?” – asked the judge

“About 10 to 15 million. That’s the estimate,” Kiki replied.
