This Wednesday, the Ministry of Agriculture will release the Beer Yearbook, with data on the evolution of the sector last year. According to the document, the country has 1,847 registered breweries, an increase of 6.8% over 2022.
In other words, there are 771 Brazilian municipalities with at least one registered brewery. The state with the highest number of registered breweries is São Paulo, with 410 establishments.
“The sector is expanding and generating jobs and income in Brazil. At this moment it is important to have public policies that allow us to continue contributing positively to the national economy”, says the president of the Beer Industry Union, Márcio Maciel.
