This Thursday (9), the Federal Police (PF) served two preventive arrest warrants against those accused of participating in the murders of councilor Marielle Franco and driver Anderson Gomes. The warrants were issued by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), at the request of the Attorney General’s Office.
One of the warrants was carried out at the federal prison in Campo Grande, where one of the targets is being held. The other was fulfilled in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Robson Calixto da Fonsecaknown as Peixe, and the military police officer Ronald Paulo Alves PereiraO Major Ronald, their names are linked to the militias in the West Zone of Rio. While Peixe appears as someone who collected money in the Taquara neighborhood, Ronald was identified as a “contractor of irregular constructions” in Rio das Pedras.
The homicide investigations, which were initiated by the Civil Police and are currently also being carried out by the PF, have already resulted in the arrest of two accused of carrying out the murders, former police officers Ronnie Lessa and Élcio Queiróz, of those accused of planning the crime, the brothers Domingos and Chiquinho Brazão, and Civil Police Chief Rivaldo Barbosa who, according to investigations, had tried to ensure that the brothers went unpunished.
Firefighter Maxwell Simões Corrêa had also been arrested, accused of helping to destroy evidence of the crime.
The PF report which ordered the arrests of the Brazão brothers and police chief Rivaldo Barbosa, in March, mentions that Robson Calixto — identified as the person who intermediated the order for the death of Marielle and Anderson — “appears as a militia member in some news reports actually sent by Disque-Denúncia” in 2018. He is indicated as the person responsible for collecting the paramilitary group’s profits in Taquara region, reports that linked him, according to the document, to Chiquinho and Domingos Brazão.
Advisor to Domingos Brazão in the Legislative Assembly of Rio (Alerj), Peixe still accompanied him when the former parliamentarian became an advisor to the Rio State Court of Auditors (TCE-RJ). As for Domingos’ brother, Chiquinho Brazão, Peixe contributed R$300 in his campaign for councilor in 2016. According to the PF, it was precisely this same amount that he received as a service.
Robson Calixto also joined, between 2011 and 2015, the corporate structure of a company whose corporate purpose was the “construction of buildings”.
Major Ronald appears as the person who reported that Marielle would be at Casa das Pretas on March 14, 2018, the date on which she was murdered in the Estácio neighborhood, in the central region of Rio. He would have called Edmilson da Silva de Oliveira, known as Macalé — appointed as an intermediary in the crime, and executed in 2021. The PM would be responsible for gathering information about the parliamentarian’s routine.
Arrested by Operation Untouchables, in 2019, he was appointed responsible for the logistics of the group of killers Office of Crime, so that the murders occurred without traces. According to Ronnie Lessa, he told the PF, Major Ronald was an “irregular construction contractor” in Rio das Pedras.
As a result of Operation Untouchables, Ronald was convicted, in October 2021, of being part of a criminal organization in the communities of Rio das Pedras and Muzema. Considered one of the group’s leaders, he was sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison.
In 2018, in the midst of a moment in which the PM Rodrigo Jorge Ferreira, known as Ferreirinha, gave a false statement to the Homicide Police Station — he later admitted that he lied because he wanted to take revenge on his former boss, militiaman Orlando Oliveira de Araújo, known as Orlando Curicica — an anonymous complaint was made to DH.

Major Ronald’s record also includes an accusation of participation in the case known as Chacina da Via Show, in Baixada Fluminense, in 2003. In December of that year, four young people were brutally murdered as they left a party.
