Motorcyclist is injured in car accident on Via Dutra, in Resende

A motorcyclist was injured after being involved in an accident with a car this Thursday morning (9) on Via Dutra, in Resende (RJ). The collision happened at km 305, close to the Fazenda da Barra neighborhood.

According to the Federal Highway Police, the motorcyclist, when trying to overtake illegally, hit the back of the car that had left the Fazenda da Barra neighborhood and was in the acceleration lane to access the road.

He was treated for injuries by a medical team from CCR RioSP, the concessionaire that manages the highway, and taken to the Emergency Hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

When contacted by g1, the medical unit did not inform the patient’s health status.
