There is no date for the burial yet. As it depends on judicial authorization, the colonel said he does not have a date for the burial, but he hopes it will take place by next week. “She will not be buried as a pauper. There will be her own little place where we can visit”, he declared in an interview with the newspaper Folha Vitória.
The patient’s biological data will be available in the Espírito Santo Civil Police system. Thus, other people can request DNA comparison to check genetic compatibility with Clarinha even after the burial.
Remember the case
“Clarinha”, as she became known, died after suffering a bronchoaspiration on March 14, 2024. She was hospitalized at the Espírito Santo Military Hospital, without identification, for more than two decades.
Hit by a bus. The woman was run over by a bus in the center of Vitória on June 12, 2000. She was taken by ambulance to São Lucas Hospital and underwent surgery, but was left in a coma because of the brain trauma she suffered.
Without documents, the woman was never identified. No information about her was obtained during the years of hospitalization and her fingerprints were also not compatible with any public identification record.
