An accident involving an Army truck and a car resulted in three deaths and two injuries on Wednesday night (8) in Esteio, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre (RS). The collision occurred at kilometer 4 south of BR-448, one of the main access highways to the capital of Rio Grande do Sul for those coming from Serra and the Vales region. The information is from Folha de S.Paulo.
After the impact, the car ended up under the front of the military vehicle, which resulted in the instant death of three men who were in the car. According to Folha de S.Paulo, the two injured, in serious condition, were taken to São Camilo hospital, in Esteio. So far, no information has been released about the identities and ages of the victims.

According to Folha de S.Paulo, the Army issued a note informing that the circumstances of the accident are being investigated. There were no soldiers injured in the accident.
Lane reopened after accident
The track had to be temporarily closed for inspection by the Federal Highway Police, but it was reopened during the night.
