To celebrate April-May, 50 Political Leaders from the last 50 years decided to write a manifesto criticizing Justice and complaining about the new government reforming it, that is, reforming what they themselves built, as if they were not all responsible for this result. I would have to go back to the dictionary to find enough adjectives for this Ignominy, Hypocrisy and Embarrassment.

At the end of this text, dear reader, you will be able to find the complete list of these 50 names, to which many others have just been added. Almost everyone is Ex something in the public institutions of this country and are currently judges and jurists, politicians and commentators, deputies and public managers, constitutionalists and teachers.

Why are they now indignant and demonstrating if in these 50 years they were the ones who built the justice system, as it exists?

Why didn’t they express such discomfort when they legislated and defined the budgets, organizational structures and everything that makes up the third pillar of the State, when they were the ones appointing and co-opting the main people responsible for that system?

Because they did nothing for 50 years, in the face of a system of justice full of tricks and traps, expensive and inaccessible for the majority of Portuguese people and in which thousands and thousands of cases are entangled for years and in the end the citizen, if convicted or loses his action, no longer appeal or give up?

Why did they create a monster that has almost triple the number of magistrates per inhabitant than it had 50 years ago and now they are outraged and protesting?

This moldy elite of Breeds and Cuckoos who took advantage of the 25th of April, are now outraged and demonstrating as if they were migrants who have just arrived in this country or as if they were anonymous citizens. What a lack of shame on his face!

They are outraged, as they themselves wrote, because “the Public Ministry brought down a Government”. And they show in a manifesto the indignation that they never showed or asserted when they held public positions with legislative and executive power.

Why weren’t they outraged when José Sócrates was preventively detained for more than a year without charge and now, 10 years later, he still hasn’t been tried?

-Because it is necessary to let one of them fall from time to time, so that people think that after all, justice works for everyone.

But the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the case of Costa, Galamba and Escária, did the same thing it does with any ordinary citizen, first accuses and then sees itself. The difference is that these gentlemen do not want to be treated like any ordinary citizen.

The Tax authority charging fines and tolls from private companies like BRISA, the public ministry and the courts executing citizens’ debts to Cofidis or Cetelem, with the scales of justice completely unbalanced, this never bothered these gentlemen and more, They were the ones who created the system as it exists.
