Mother of actor found dead arrives in Rio de Janeiro shaken

The 44-year-old actor’s body was found by the Rio de Janeiro Police on Monday, May 22. He had been missing since January 27th and they only missed the artist when they realized that his dogs were abandoned.

According to G1, the police identified the body through fingerprints inside a trunk. He was buried in a concrete hole in a field in Campo Grande, in the west zone of Rio.

Jeff Machado, actor in the soap opera “Reis”, on Record TV, had been missing since mid-January. According to Reinaldo Gottino, from “Balanço Geral SP”, from Record TV, the disappearance was noticed after the abandonment of eight dogs.

Extremely passionate about animals, the family not only found the abandonment strange, but also the messages received in Jeff’s name and with many mistakes in Portuguese. In addition, Jeff’s Whatsapp profile sent messages to family members saying that Bruno, the friend with whom the actor lived, would be responsible for his house and car.

However, last Monday, May 22, the artist’s body was found, and unfortunately, lifeless, inside a wooden bucket, buried and concreted two meters deep in a land on Rua Itueira, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Machado’s family lawyer, Jairo Magalhães, confirmed the fact and the fingerprints analyzed confirmed that it was Jeff: “The body was found on Monday in a house in Campo Grande. It has been confirmed since yesterday, May 23, at the end of the day, by the expertise of the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, that it is his body. The family has already been notified by me now”.

As the professional revealed, the family was notified this Wednesday, May 24, and is traveling to Rio de Janeiro to take care of all the bureaucracy and be able to take the body to Santa Catarina.

LAWYER’S REPORT, SUSPICIOUS FRIEND AND ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE NETWORKS

Jeff Machado’s official Instagram profile officially announced his death: “It is with great regret that we inform you that Jeff was found lifeless on 05/22/2023. Jefferson was coldly and brutally murdered by envious, evil and, of course, unscrupulous people. We will give you more information soon.”

I’m Cintia Hilsendeger, a friend of Jeff and the family and I’ve been on Jeff’s social media all the time collecting information, “she added.

“Balanço Geral” spoke with Jairo Magalhães, who gave more details about the police action and about the house where the trunk was found: “The owner of the house does not know Jefferson, but she had contact with this friend and had confidence in him. […] The trunk belonged to Jefferson and this friend had access to his house”.

About the suspected friend, the professional continued: “At the beginning of the investigations, when the family came from the South, he was present in the City of the Police, in the registration of the Police Report about Jefferson’s disappearance”.

“We don’t know where he is now, but his lawyer is included in the police investigation, and he was already being investigated. The Police are now looking for the perpetrators of these crimes of aggravated homicide and concealment of a corpse,” added the professional.

Finally, the lawyer commented on the strange messages by the family on behalf of Jeff Machado: “With his mother and brother. There was also a page about Jefferson’s dogs, which he loves very much, which was closed and opened during the investigation not long ago. This is also being evaluated by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro”.

CONCERNED FAMILY

It is noteworthy that, at the time of the disappearance, the actor’s social networks continued to work. Four days ago, he published a photo with the caption: “Restart. Gratitude!” The post received several comments from people concerned and doubting that he would have abandoned the animals. But he didn’t answer.

In an interview with G1, Jeff’s brother, Diego Machado, said at the time that he suspected that someone else was using the actor’s cell phone to send messages to the family. “It’s strange, because they only talk via messages. He did not inform us and did not give details of anything. Since Christmas, he started to only respond, with spelling errors, changing the entire pattern and contact forms. It was customary to use videos and photos. He has a degree in journalism, a postgraduate degree in cinema. Very strange, it doesn’t seem to be him”, said the brother.

When looking for the owner of the dogs, the NGO made contact with the family and the actor’s disappearance was found and registered with the police. “The dogs were chipped and identified with Jeff’s name. That’s why they came to us. My brother would never abandon the dogs like that”, said Diego.

Maria das Dores Estevão Machado, Jeff’s mother, spoke to G1 in March about the case: “It’s been 40 and a few days without my son, and we talked every day. It is complicated. It’s just prayer, prayer. But I hope this week they [policiais] have any news for us.”

Jefferson Machado is 44 years old and was born in the city of Araranguá, in Santa Catarina. The actor disappeared after leaving a house in the West Zone of Rio. Dona Maria das Dores told the report that she has received support from relatives and friends in the south of the country, and believes that the more the case is publicized, the more chances she has of finding her son.
