Do you remember Ladybug from “The Only Woman”? She’s already 20 years old… and she’s going to return to the small screen!

It was in 2015 that Maria Arraisaged 11 at the time, conquered everything and everyone, playing Joaninha, in the soap opera “A Única Mulher”.

Now, the actress, who is currently 20 years old, is returning to TVI in the new seasons of “Morangos com Açúcar”.

Speaking to the press, on one of the filming days, Maria Arrais was excited about this new professional challenge: “It’s incredible. I started ten years ago. And now, I’m in the house where I started, because I started on A Única Mulher ‘. It was a very good journey, because I was studying. I’m finishing my degree in Theater and now I’m here, back.

The young actress confessed that her best friend is part of the cast of the youth series. “I already knew Tomás [Taborda]. He is my best friend. And I really like everyone,” she assured.

In these seasons, Maria Arrais will give life to Lucy: “She’s a very challenging character. She gets involved in complicated schemes. And, well, it’s really fun to see her trying to get away with each of the things. Her parents are in prison , for corruption and fraud, and lives with his aunt.”

“Have already done casting for the other seasons and I felt sorry for not staying. But, well, I think things have to happen when they’re supposed to happen and I’m very happy now”, he also assured the press.

Daughter of Susana Arrais, the “strawberry girl” now believes that her mother “is happy”. “Although we have very different paths, I owe him a lot for realizing that this is what I wanted. I have been very familiar with this environment since I was little,” she added.

As for preparing for this character, Maria Arrais revealed that she went through a month of rehearsals. “It was incredible, because, in Portugal, it is very difficult to have so much time”, praised the young actress, who has already participated in other productions, such as the soap operas “Prisioneira” and “Rua das Flores”.

And is Maria Arrais ready for the media attention associated with “Morangos com Açúcar”? The artist responds: “I don’t think I think about it much. When I was making ‘The Only Woman’, whenever we recorded on the street, a lot of people would come up to us. So, I think I have an idea of ​​how things are, although ‘Morangos ‘ have a different exposure.”
