“ISIS-K”, the Afghan branch of Daesh responsible for the attack in Moscow

The US believes that the Afghan branch of Daesh – called ISIS-K – was the author of the attack in Moscow.

The information was provided by the North American intelligence services after Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack that killed more than 60 people.

In a post on the group’s Telegram channel, it can be read: “Daesh fighters attacked a large concentration of Christians in the city of Krasnogorsk, on the outskirts of the Russian capital, Moscow, killing and injuring hundreds of people and causing great destruction on site, before safely retreating to their bases.”

The USA had already warned, through its embassy in Moscow, on March 7, of the possibility of an attack on gatherings of people, including concerts, recommending that American citizens avoid large gatherings, which was minimized by Russian leaders. .

Tonight’s attack left at least 62 dead and 145 injured, after several armed men entered a concert hall and shot at the audience.
