Ukraine defended this Wednesday the importance of continuing attacks against war infrastructure on Russian territory, a day after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he did not support these actions.
Blinken assured, during an official visit to France, that aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue, but distanced himself from the attacks launched against Russia, which have intensified in recent weeks and even extended to areas far from the common border. .
This Wednesday, one of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s main advisors, Mijailo Podoliak, made it clear that Ukrainian forces will continue with these actions.
“If we don’t attack Russia’s war infrastructure, including refined oil, how can we significantly reduce the potential for aggression?” Podoliak asked.
Zelensky’s consultant explained that these are specific attacks supported by International Law, in the same sense as sanctions by the international community, including the United States, to seek to stop the financing of Russian war efforts.
“Or would we prefer to live with the existential fear of waiting for a Third World War?” Podoliak questioned.
