O The body of a woman who had been missing since 2017 was found, on Sunday, March 31, in the trunk of her own car, which was being transported to a scrap yard, near Nanterre, in the suburbs of Paris, France.
According to Le Parisien, the Renault Clio spent several years parked in an underground car park, before being seized last February. On Sunday, seven years after the disappearance, the vehicle was searched, even before it was destroyed.
In the trunk was the body “in an advanced state of decomposition.” The authorities are now investigating whether it was a crime, accident or suicide, since, despite the doors being all locked, access to the luggage compartment from inside the vehicle was closed.
At the time of her disappearance, the woman’s husband told authorities that she had “suicidal tendencies.”
The body was transported to the Garches Forensic Institute (Hauts-de-Seine) for an autopsy.
