O former police officer who, on Monday, killed his ex-wife and his current girlfriend, went on the run with his one-year-old son, and was found dead.
Washington police had launched a manhunt for the man after he broke into the school where his ex-wife was a teacher and killed her. During the search of his house, authorities found his current girlfriend, a minor, also dead, and the man had fled with their one-year-old son.
Authorities believed he was heading towards the border with Mexico and began a police pursuit that culminated when the man was stopped on a road in Eugene, Oregon. When they approached the vehicle, authorities found Eliaz lifeless. He had gunshot wounds to the head. The child was safe and was taken into custody by authorities.
The moment was recorded on video by other drivers and it shows the moment when the authorities remove the baby egg from inside Eliaz’s vehicle.
The 39-year-old man had been on the run for around 24 hours, after shooting his ex-wife eight times.
The crimes took place on the day he was supposed to appear in court to answer for two crimes of sexual abuse of minors, one of the victims being his current girlfriend.
