In a truly unusual story, there was a missing cat that was found around 1000 kilometers from home. Her name is “Galena” and she smuggled herself into an… Amazon delivery package. It seems like a lie, but it’s true.
According to Mirror, the cat was traveling for around 6 days. That was the time it took to get from Utah to California. The situation was detected by an Amazon employee, who allowed the cat to return home.
As the same source reports, the pet’s owner used all the usual resources to recover Galena. On social media, Carrie Clark distributed images of the cat, raising awareness among the population to be aware of her whereabouts.
The days passed and Clark began to lose hope. That is until the day he receives a 100% unexpected call. When she hears her cell phone ringing, she answers it and hears a veterinarian from California on the other end.
He said the cat was missing, about 1000 kilometers away from home. In an interview with Fox News, Carrie Clark confessed that she was in shock and didn’t believe the call was real.
Everything added up, but the story didn’t make sense to Clark
That said, she requested official confirmation about the animal that was in California. From telephone number, address, to other elements, everything pointed to the fact that it was indeed Galena.
Even so, the story still didn’t make sense to Clark. Thus, the veterinarian explained to him that the cat had been included in an Amazon return package and had been sent to California warehouses.
In this story, the hero was indeed Brandy Hunter. After being informed of the situation, the Amazon employee took the animal directly to the veterinarian. For this reason, Clark does not hold back on his praise for Hunter.
As she wrote on Facebook, “without the microchip and Brandy’s kindness, we would never have found her again” (via Mirror).

After confirming that the situation was true, Carrie and her husband, Matt Clark, left by plane to California.
“Galena has been my cat for six years – she and I have a very close bond and it was incredible to be by her side in her moments of need” – quotes the same source of information, based on Carrie’s words.
It is, therefore, a story with a happy ending, but one that could have ended less well. After all, Galena could have suffocated inside the box. However, her luck was that it was always open.
