“If everything is conducted honestly, I will gladly accept the results. But if that’s not the case, then we’ll have to fight for the good of the country,” said the former president, asked about the presidential elections in Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

These comments echo the Republican’s statements during the 2020 presidential elections, where Donald Trump never accepted his defeat against Democrat Joe Biden.

“To make a long story short: Donald Trump represents a danger to our Constitution and democracy,” said a spokesperson for Biden’s campaign team, reacting to the billionaire’s interview.

In another conversation, published on Tuesday, the Republican had already been very evasive about the possibility of political violence following the November elections.

“If we don’t win, it depends”, assured the former president, whose supporters, convinced of his victory in the 2020 presidential election, attacked the headquarters of the North American Congress causing destruction and fatalities.

Donald Trump is being prosecuted for his role in this attack and for trying to reverse the results of the last presidential elections, particularly in the state of Georgia.
