The 11 castles and palaces in Europe that you really need to see

QWhen you visit different countries, do you always try to enter castles and palaces? There are several that are truly unmissable and worth a visit. The Escape website revealed the 11 must-see sites in Europe.

The list includes a Portuguese one, Pena Palace, in Sintra. “The building’s towers, domes and decorative tiles create a striking silhouette against the lush forests of the Serra de Sintra”, states the website.

Also the Edinburgh Castle, in Scotland, is worth a visit. It is built on top of an extinct volcano. It’s a paradise for history buffs. Once in Austria, discover Schönbrunn Palace.
