AMBPG presents architectural study for future headquarters

Architect Jalline Cesca, together with museologist João Paulo Corrêa, presented the Ponta Grossa Basketball Memorial Association (AMBPG) with a preliminary architectural study of the entity’s new headquarters.

Initially, the building will house, in addition to the collection, spaces for the public, a sports court and technical/administrative space. All on three levels, planned for a built area of ​​approximately 2,600 m² in the vicinity of Lago de Olarias.
AMBPG’s idea is to format a practical and modern building, which will enable and optimize strategies to promote and maintain the Memorial’s space, offering culture and leisure options for the community in general.
With the allocation of the area provided by PMPG, the Ponta Grossa Basketball Memorial begins to experience a new cycle in its trajectory, towards the completion of the work on its headquarters facilities, which should contribute with numerous benefits to the city of Ponta Grossa, such as generating jobs, reviving the historical tradition of basketball and culture.
According to Marcel Moro, member of AMBPG, the entity will move sectors such as hospitality, through sporting and cultural events, in addition to tourism. “The proposal is that the entity can be part of a tourist route in Paraná, something that could be an unprecedented initiative in the country. Therefore, the participation of civil society and the private sector will be essential, taking into account Memorial events and actions, to make this magnificent project a reality that will bring us all great pride”, said Marcel Moro.
