Fish, cuts of meat, sweets and even pizzas were used to set the scene for a photo shoot awarded this week by the International Inspiration Photographer Association. The author of the work entitled “The Gordo” was the Tocantins photographer Glauber Matos, who once again had his work recognized by the renowned international institution with impressive photos.
The photos were taken in collaboration with gastronomic influencer Pedro “The Gordo”, who posed with the most varied types of culinary ingredients. The results of the competition came out on Tuesday (23), in the Best Portrait Collection category
According to Glauber, in addition to the satisfaction of recognizing the work, it is already an achievement to be in the Association for four years. This is because the selection process to enter this field is rigorous.
“To join the association you have to send your portfolio and then they see if you have the standard, the quality and enough material to be able to enter and be part of it. Only 10% of the CVs make it through to get in. Inside, she is doing competition rounds between members from more than 67 countries. And in this last round we were awarded the essay ‘The Gordo”, he explained.
For the category that awarded the photographer, 20 photos from the same shoot are required, which according to Glauber, increases the challenge. “It’s a much bigger challenge than being able to award a photo. A photo alone has its beauty, but a shoot is something very difficult to do”, said the professional.
The inspiration came when the gastronomic influencer approached him to do a shoot that involved acting in cooking. Influenced by ‘powerful’ photographs, Glauber, together with the production team made up of Junior Bruch, Dhebora Bruch, Patrick Ramon and Karol Teixeira, arrived at the result of the award-winning essay.
“We put him in the role of a chef who knows how to master all these types of foods, which are elements that are part of our table, our routine. Thus, we were able to prepare this essay, with very strong, very imposing and without manipulation, because rehearsals for the Association’s competition cannot be manipulated”, added the photographer.
In addition to the award, another 11 photos and three essays were also awarded by the International Inspiration Photographer Association.
