Livia Voigt, a 19-year-old Brazilian woman with a fortune valued at 1.9 billion dollars (1.8 billion euros) is the youngest billionaire in the world, according to a list published this Monday, by Forbes.

While still in college studying psychology, Livia became the youngest billionaire thanks to her minority stake in electrical equipment producer WEG, which her late grandfather co-founded. The young woman and her older sister, Dora Voigt de Assis, 26 years old, are two of the seven new faces among the 25 youngest billionaires and two of the 18 heirs of that group.

Livia was ahead of the Italian Clemente Del Vecchio, heir to Luxottica, the largest glasses manufacturer in the world and owner of the Ray-Ban brand, by just two months of difference, as both are 19 years old. Clemente was the youngest on the 2023 Forbes list.
