ADespite conflicts, inflation and political conjecture, there are more billionaires than ever. Forbes guaranteed this, which included a total of 2,781 people on its list of the richest in 2024, 141 more than last year. This number even surpassed the record set in 2021, with 26 new entries.

In fact, and according to the North American magazine, the richest have never been so rich. In total, the group of billionaires has a fortune of 14.2 billion dollars (13,161,412,000,000 euros), which represents an increase of 2 billion dollars (1,853,850,000,000 euros) compared to 2023 and 1.1 billion dollars (1,019,546,000,000 euros) when compared to the record value of 2021.

The vast majority of this fortune belongs to the 20 richest on the list, who have a wealth of 700 billion dollars (648,868,500,000 euros) as of 2023. The majority is also from the United States, a country that boasts a record 813 billionaires .

In second place on the table is China, including Hong Kong, with 473 billionaires, while India occupies third place, with 200 of the world’s richest.

For the second year in a row, French businessman Bernard Arnault took the podium, followed by Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Ellison, in the top five.
