UA double-decker bus caught fire on Friday on an interstate highway near Nob Hill Road in Florida, USA. There were 48 people on board the vehicle.
According to 7News Miami, tourists who were inside the bus ran out of the vehicle when the fire started. All occupants were on the side of the road for hours, while rescue teams distributed water and food to them.
There were no injuries reported and the flames were later extinguished by firefighters. Still, local residents claim to have been scared by the situation.
“I heard something exploding on the highway,” said a resident. Another local resident, Joi Patterson, assured that she “was at home playing with the children” when she heard an explosion. The woman was scared when she learned that there were no injuries.
“It was really scary,” said one man.
The fire led to the road being closed for several hours. The causes of the fire are not yet known.
