QWhen you eat yogurt, do you immediately discard the liquid on top? It’s a common habit, but in reality, you should avoid it, says Karan Rajan, a doctor, quoted in Huffpost, a blog aggregator. Why? Generally “this mysterious pool is full of essential nutrients.”
According to the doctor, the liquid contains whey protein, better known as ‘whey’. In case you didn’t know, whey has lots of protein, vitamin B12, calcium and “even probiotics, as well as a host of other minerals,” he adds.
Taking this into account, we recommend that you never discard the liquid and simply mix it with the rest of the yogurt.
