Habits that make the house (even) dirtier and more untidy:
- Ignoring labels and instructions on cleaning products. “It can result in irreversible and accidental damage,” explains Melissa Poepping of The Chemical Free Home;
- Leaving wet towels in a pile. “In addition to creating an unpleasant aroma, wet towels and trapped moisture become a breeding ground for mold,” he adds;
- Using too much cleaning product. “Not only is excess product unnecessary and not at all cost-effective, it can damage the surfaces and tools you are using.”
