-

Currently, many Portuguese families have internet at home. After contracting the service, operators install the equipment and everything should work relatively well. However, the Wi-Fi coverage of operator routers is not always the best. Find out which operator has the best equipment in this and other aspects. MEO, NOS and Vodafone, who wins?

DECO PROteste put routers with the latest Wi-Fi 6 wireless technology from the three main operators to the test. DECO PROteste tested the WI-FI performance of routers that are available for television, fixed internet and landline telephone services, or also mobile phones (3P and 4P), and all routers already have Wi-Fi 6 technology.

It should be noted that the test was carried out in an isolated house, without any type of possible interference “around”, that is, outside interference.

According to the tests carried out, DECO PROteste reveals that inside the house there were objects and structures that could influence the performance of the Wi-Fi network, but such “obstacles” were the same for everyone.

As mentioned, the routers tested were based on the Wi-Fi 6 standard. This standard can work in the 2.4 Ghz frequency range and also in the 5 Ghz. It should also be noted that the equipment can operate in both frequency ranges simultaneously.
