Did fuel levels actually drop as expected? See what happened

AForecasts pointed to a drop in fuel prices this week, but was that really what happened? Let’s get to the math.

O price of simple diesel fell from €1,586/liter to €1,570/liter between Friday and Monday, while the price of simple gasoline 95 went from €1.803/liter to €1.786/liter in the same period, according to the average prices published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

Accounts made, simple diesel became 1.6 cents cheaper, while the price of simple 95 gasoline fell 1.7 cents.

Forecasts, it should be noted, pointed to a drop of two cents in the case of diesel and 2.5 cents in the case of simple 95 gasoline, a sector source said at the time. News by the Minute.
