Rio – Rapper Oruam performed with TZ da Coronel on the last day of Lollapalooza Brasil, in São Paulo, this Sunday (24), wearing a shirt with the face of his father, drug dealer Marcinho VP, who has been in prison for more than 20 years, followed by a request for freedom.

On social media, the artist’s attitude gained great repercussion and the rapper’s name was among the most talked about topics on X, formerly Twitter. “Oruam put his father’s face on his shirt”, wrote one internet user. “Then he complains that they reduce him to the son of a drug dealer”, said another. “Asking for the criminal to be released,” said one person. “It’s not possible, Oruam. Owner of one of the biggest factions and asking for freedom”, criticized a tweeter.

When contacted, the Civil Police did not comment on what happened. Marcinho VP was arrested in 1996, for being the drug kingpin in Morro do Alemão. He is responsible for the crimes of criminal association and money laundering.

Last year, Oruam caused controversy by tattooing his father’s face on his chest. “Look at the boss, my boss, Marcinho: this one is my father,” he said when showing the drawing on social media. In addition to him, the rapper has also tattooed drug dealer Elias Maluco, convicted of the death of journalist Tim Lopes.
