Michael Jackson’s three children made a rare appearance together this Wednesday (27), during the premiere of the musical ‘MJ: The Musical’, in London. The performance in honor of the singer was held at the Prince Edward Theater and was attended by the press and other guests.
Prince, 27, Paris, 25, and Blanket, 22, — whose real name is Bigi — posed for photos side by side on the red carpet at the event. The men wore black suits, while the King of Pop’s daughter wore a brown dress.
Prince and Paris, who are the result of Jackson’s relationship with Debbie Rowe, have been together in public at other events in recent years. In June 2022, for example, they went to the Tony Awards ceremony.
The trio’s appearance by Michael’s children came amid great controversy in the family. Blanket went to court to prevent her grandmother, Katherine Jackson, from using the legacy left by the star in another legal case.
Previously, the youngest and his grandmother were on the same side in court. They contested an agreement between those responsible for Michael’s estate and Sony to sell half of the singer’s musical catalog for US$600 million, according to TMZ.
Members of the Jackson family lost the case, but Katherine aims to file an appeal using the money left by her son. Blanket understands that the chances of winning are minimal, which is why he has given up on moving forward and wants to prevent his grandmother from using part of the inheritance to continue in the dispute — since she would have enough money to pay the lawyer’s fees.
A representative of the estate stated that Katherine received more than US$55 million (around R$273 million) in the 15 years since the King of Pop’s death. Part of this amount comes from a monthly allowance of R$796,000.
