Eliana left SBT, after almost 15 years of contract, according to a statement published by the broadcaster this Monday (1st). The presenter’s departure was confirmed by TV, stating that the decision to end the partnership “it was mutual“.
“After almost 15 years leading a consolidated and highly successful program, Eliana decided that it was time for a new phase with other professional challenges, without ever forgetting the countless days of joy, achievements and learning experienced at the station”, says a statement from SBT. The presenter has been in charge of the Eliana program since 2009.
According to the broadcaster’s statement, the presenter will continue in her role as Teleton’s godmother. “[Eliana] will make a point of returning to the station to present the fundraising program for AACD (Association for Assistance to Disabled Children)”, the note continued.
The note concludes by expressing the gratitude that both parties have. “SBT also reinforces its affection and support for the presenter in whatever paths she intends to follow, and informs that the doors will always be open for her”, he concluded.
Eliana’s career
The artist began her career at Silvio Santos’ station in 1991, presenting children’s programs. Eliana spent 7 years at SBT and moved to TV Record in 1998, also in programs of the same genre.
In 2005, the owner of the hit “The little fingers“, abandoned the genre for children and dedicated himself to the Sunday program on Edir Macêdo’s station.
After four years, she returns to SBT with a program named after her, currently on air.
In 2023, the artist participated in the Child Hope and a possible trip to TV Globo was raised. In December of the same year, presenter Ana Maria Braga, from ‘Mais Você’, made a surprise appearance on ‘Raul Gil’, from SBT to honor Eliana. Xuxa Meneghel and Angélica also sent loving messages to their friend.
