Jennifer Lopez invested a lot in her new musical projects, but the singer was disappointed with the public’s response, according to sources.

“In Touch” magazine reported that Ben Affleck’s wife “is devastated that her album ‘This Is Me… Now’ didn’t get past the 38th position on the Billboard charts in its first week.”
The publication reveals that the 54-year-old pop star paid US$20 million (R$100 million) out of her own pocket to produce the album and the documentary that accompanies it.
“She has never experienced this kind of failure. She is humiliating. She put her heart and soul into this project. It was a huge task”, assures the informant.

“Jennifer financed the project when no one else was interested in doing it,” recalled the source.
Now the artist has had to cancel several shows on her upcoming summer tour.
“This Is Me… Now” was released in February as a follow-up to her 2002 album “This Is Me… Then,” which was written in the midst of her and Ben Affleck’s first engagement, and tells the couple’s story also through from the documentary: “This Is Me Now: A Love Story”.
In the film, the couple talked about why they first called off their wedding in 2003.

At press time, it has been reported that concert dates scheduled for August 20-31 in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston have been removed from the Ticketmaster website.
Although the tour remains scheduled for 30 shows, there are still a considerable number of tickets available for most dates at the box office, the magazine reports.
For the audiovisual project, J-Lo tried to attract many celebrities, but most of them were unable to participate.
Lizzo, for example, went so far as to say that what she says in the documentary is false, that she did not agree to be part of the project. The singer assured that no one from J-Lo’s team invited her.
