The list of billionaires among the world of celebrities has grown, as announced by Forbes magazine this Tuesday (2). Singer Taylor Swift, basketball legend Magic Johnson and TV producer Dick Wolf, responsible for police series such as “Law & Order”, are now among some of the richest people in the world.
Only 14 among the 2,781 billionaires listed by the magazine in 2024 – largest number in history, which includes some Brazilians – is related to entertainment. The biggest fortune on the list belongs to George Lucas, the director and producer responsible for “Star Wars”, who has an estimated net worth of 5.5 billion dollars (about R$27 billion). The smallest is from Taylor Swift, which totals 1.1 billion dollars (around R$5.5 billion).

The 34-year-old singer is the first person to become a billionaire solely based on profits from songs, shows and other productions related to her musical career.
