Luiza Brunet “gives lessons” and changes course of action against ex in court

-

The Fábia Olivera column reported exclusively that Lírio Parisotto defended herself in the compensation action filed by Luiza Brunet. Well then. Now, we have discovered, also first hand, that the former model specified, in March this year, the evidence she intends to use to bring down her ex-husband’s 79-page defense.

Right away, a point that draws attention is that the brunette’s defense stated that the amount she requested, R$1 million, is even far from what, in fact, she could have requested in the demand. This is because the criminal case itself, in which Parisotto was convicted, would make clear the extent of the damage he caused to Luiza.

It is worth remembering that Brunet was a victim not only of physical violence, but also of multiple verbal attacks, being humiliated, according to reports from the process, on several occasions. Furthermore, Lírio’s economic capacity was brought to the fore. It is worth remembering that we are talking about a man considered a mega-investor, owner of a billion-dollar fortune.

Luiza Brunet also highlighted that, first and foremost, she was a brand. We know it seems confusing, but she explains it herself: her earnings have always been linked to her place in the market, her positioning and the way society saw her. Lírio, then, would have violated not only Brunet’s body and soul, but the “Luiza Brunet brand”.

In addition to the already exhaustively repeated physical damage, the billionaire ended up affecting, according to the accusation, his brand and his professional performance. As a result, there was a process of reformulation of Luiza Brunet’s own work. Before the episode of violence, Yasmin Brunet’s mother claimed to be linked to femininity, corporeality, aesthetics, morality and lifestyle.

After everything that happened, she lost a place in the market, which impacted, logically, her pockets. A market sabotage that is typical with women who are victims of domestic violence, by the way.

Courageously and without lowering her head, Brunet refuted Lírio’s accusations and stated that the success she deserves depends solely and exclusively on her, her efforts and talents.

Meanwhile, according to her, Lírio insists on repeating the narrative that Luiza’s success was because of her. In other words, with the work she did and the role she began to occupy after the violence she suffered.

And it is at this moment that Brunet demonstrates that he is not afraid of a fight. She asked that an economist expert be appointed capable of thoroughly assessing the impact on her brand and image caused by Lírio’s aggression. In other words, how much it was impacted in terms of profit and media impact, how many contracts were lost and the loss in business opportunities.

As for Lírio Parisotto, he, considered “one of the richest men in Brazil”, was asked to prove his real financial situation to the courts. Luiza proposed to offer the same documents about her life.

Yes, my dears, Luiza Brunet may have been unfairly and impermissibly taken to the ground. Today, Justice witnesses the muse rise again and, with an open chest, face, face to face, one of the most powerful men in the country.

As usual in a column made up of women and which supports the cause embraced by Luiza, we remind you: if you are a victim of domestic violence, do not back down, do not be afraid, dial 180. Any and all types of violence are unacceptable and repudiated by Coluna Fábia Oliveira.

Understand Lírio Parisotto’s defense

Seven years after businessman Lírio Parisotto was convicted in the first instance for attacking former model Luiza Brunet, the case still generates repercussions in court. This time, not in the criminal area, but in the civil area. After Brunet asked for the amount of R$1 million in compensation for the violence suffered, the defendant presented her defense. The document has 79 pages.

Right from the start, Lírio’s defense says that Luiza Brunet was unable to prove that she actually suffered the alleged damages. In other words, she would not have even presented a single document certifying that she incurred medical expenses for what happened, or expenses for psychiatric health treatments, that she lost contracts or similar things. She reportedly said that she underwent surgery, but did not present documents, according to Parisotto’s defense, that support the allegation.

At another point, the defense addresses Luiza’s statement that, after the violence, there is no appearance in which the episode is not discussed or comes to light. However, Parisotto, through her representatives, says that it is Brunet herself who usually raises this issue, of her own free will.

He also says that even though the criminal case – which has already ended – was covered by judicial secrecy, Yasmin Brunet’s mother made a point of “shouting from the rooftops” the details of what had happened.

At a certain point, care is demonstrated in the defendant’s narrative. Lawyers say they recognize that domestic violence must be combated and “that’s the end of it”. However, they say that the request of the victim – Luiza – is nothing more than an attempt to get rich, without cause, in the middle of this tragic story. Another thing said in the defense is that the model uses her social accounts to repeatedly attack Lírio.

What, at another point, seems more like a jab, is the statement that Luiza Brunet’s exposure in the media had been lost in terms of her profession for some time. In this sense, the act of “embracing the cause of the fight against domestic violence” and speaking extensively about the topic would be a way of maintaining public relevance. Again, the thesis defended is that she is the one who ensures that the fact of aggression is not pulverized by the advancement of calendars.

Another problem highlighted is the fact that Luiza Brunet was unable to specify how much would be owed for material damages, separating it from the amount to be paid for moral damages. These, according to law, are distinct categories. The high asking price of R$1 million was widely questioned.

Lírio’s allegations are diverse and spread over dozens of pages. He denies Luiza’s claim that damage was caused and says that the former model briefly remained “intact, flawless and beautiful, as always”, and questions how the episode affected her career. In this way, he denies the need to pay compensation, both for material and moral damages.
