“Five years ago, I was moving from Brazil to Los Angeles, fleeing a death threat (despised by many), afraid of Brazilian politics and in search of my dreams,” he began.

The filmmaker said his “biggest nightmare” was having to send his dogs away, even though people told him he should trust them. “I didn’t trust anyone at the airlines or the airport. My friend and dog trainer came along to support us. The flight had a stop in Miami and the TSA girl [Transportation Security Administration] involved with Fernando Siqueira’s bandaged arm [seu marido]. I argued with her. We were grounded until the plane almost left,” she recalled.

Fernando reported that he did not let the dogs go on a flight other than his. “Airlines, airports and authorities do not respect us passengers as they should despite the efforts of their managers, what about animals? I thank God that the three of them arrived alive”, he reflected.

Finally, he lamented Joca’s death: “My condolences to Joca golden who left. Let it serve as a lesson.”
