Brazilian influencer goes viral on the internet after criticizing bad smells from Europeans; see video

A video by the Brazilian influencer Monique Escapeti went viral on social media after she reported the bad smell of people on public transport in Copenhagen, Denmark. On her TikTok profile, Monique told her followers about the lack of hygiene.

“If there’s one thing that’s impressive anywhere in Europe, it’s the stench of cecê. The worst thing is that it’s winter, everyone is wearing coats, and even with people wearing coats there is an absurd stench. When we travel to Europe in the summer, it’s even worse. It’s inhumane. People don’t take showers”, begins the influencer in the video, which already has more than six thousand comments and 218 thousand likes.

“The funny thing is that we see people with super well cared for skin, with expensive products, with wonderful hair, but they are stinky! It’s an acidic stench. And they have access to the best perfumes, the best products, the best everything, and yet they are unable to clean themselves, take a shower and wash their armpits. I wonder, if you can feel the sensation with the person wearing a coat, imagine what it’s like underneath,” she continued.

Upon seeing the repercussion of her speech, Monique Escapeti used Instagram, on Wednesday, the 24th, to comment on the matter, and stated that she used public transport a lot in Brazil.

“How bizarre that this video went viral, I didn’t expect it. The most bizarre thing is seeing so many Brazilians saying that I have never used public transport. Guys, I’ve taken public transport my whole life, I’m from Irajá, north of Rio de Janeiro, and I took the subway towards Pavuna and people don’t stink like that. In Brazil, people, no matter how humble they are, take the subway smelling good and on the way back from work it’s normal to be sweaty on the subway, but it’s not like here,” she said.
