Madonna’s concert team is accused of destroying Rio’s heritage | Daniel Nascimento

It is a fact that Madonna’s show will take place in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, on May 4th. The pop diva’s performance on Brazilian soil is getting closer and with that, controversies also dominate the wonderful city. A video went viral on the web that points to the blonde’s team as responsible for destroying Rio’s heritage.

In a recording released on social media, it is possible to see several wooden debris scattered along the beachfront. “The Madonna show team […] destroyed the old lifeguard house and vegetation. Environmental crime! Now, these heroes are under the rain and wind!”, described the caption on the page ‘Rio de Nojeira Oficial”.

In the publication, the person responsible for sending the video also questioned whether the destruction in question had been authorized by the fire department. However, although they don’t know the answer for sure, it is a fact that many residents of the capital were devastated by the news, but others understood.

In the comments, the action gave something to talk about: “The question is. Will they build it back?” asked one internet user. “It will still be paid with public money”, pondered another. “Stop mimimi, this show will generate several jobs…. It will help a lot of people!”, defended a third. “Not generating jobs, it will generate temporary services!”, countered another.
